Wybber Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-28. The Turkish version of this document is the primary text; this English version is meant to be identical in meaning.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, registering for, or using Wybber (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Age Requirement — 18+
Wybber is for people 18 years of age or older only. The youngest age-band option in the registration flow is 18-22; no younger option is offered. Accounts found to belong to someone under 18 are closed immediately. Registration by a minor is not permitted even with parental/guardian consent.
3. Account and Identity
- Your account is tied to a cryptographic identity generated on your device (a DID, Ed25519 key pair); there is no username/password.
- You represent that the information you provide (gender, age band, location, etc.) is accurate. Creating a fake or misleading profile violates these Terms (see §5, §7 — "fake profile" is a report category).
- You are responsible for your account's security, including the physical security of your device; your DID private key is held only on your device — if you lose it, you may lose access to your account.
4. Nature of the Service
- Wybber is a dating app built on on-device computation. Your profile, preferences, and messages largely stay on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- "Wybber negotiation" is an optional feature that uses an explicit, deterministic/rule-based matching engine (not an LLM-based decision engine); its only possible outcomes are "no match" or "match." It is not human advice or a guarantee.
- Face verification is an experimental (beta) feature; it runs entirely on-device and does not claim the reliability of commercial identity-verification systems.
- Wybber does not guarantee any user's identity, intentions, or trustworthiness. You must exercise your own judgment and caution around meeting people (see the Safety and Moderation Policy).
5. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in account termination and/or legal action:
- Harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech.
- Creating a fake profile or impersonating another person.
- Fraud, requests for money/gifts, financial exploitation ("romance scams").
- Attempting to contact a minor, or sharing content involving anyone under 18.
- Sharing inappropriate/obscene content, or non-consensual imagery.
- Using the App for commercial spam, advertising, or unauthorized data collection.
- Abusing the system: artificially multiplying accounts, unauthorized API access, or attempting to bypass safety controls (the Guardian policy engine, the report/block system).
- Promoting violence or illegal activity.
See the Safety and Moderation Policy and the in-app Report/Block screen for the full category list and reporting flow.
6. Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking
- You can report or block any user from within the App (Report/Block screen). High-risk categories (violence, scam, harassment) both report and block in a single tap.
- Reports are stored permanently on the server; however, today there is no queue, panel, or notification that automatically passes each report to a person, so we do not commit to a review time and we do not say that every report is reviewed by a human (see the Safety and Moderation Policy §3). The mechanism that actually protects you is blocking: a person you block can no longer see you, match with you, or message you. In an emergency, call your local emergency services. Even if you delete your account, report records (with the identity link anonymized) may continue to be retained (see the Privacy Policy §5-6).
- The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account it reasonably believes has violated these Terms.
7. In-App Purchases (IAP)
- Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed through the Apple App Store / Google Play; pricing is whatever is displayed by the store at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel through your store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refund requests are subject to Apple's/Google's own refund policies; the Company does not process refunds directly (purchase-platform infrastructure is used).
- The raw content of your purchase receipt is never stored by the Company; only the verification result and a hash of the receipt are stored (see the Privacy Policy §3).
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, and its brand belong to the Company. You retain ownership of your own profile content (photos, bio); you grant us a limited license to use it for the purpose of displaying it within the App — by design, this content stays on your device and is not transferred to Company servers (see the Privacy Policy §2).
9. Limitation of Liability
- The App is provided "as is." The Company is not responsible for the conduct of other users, events occurring during in-person meetings, or the accuracy of information supplied by users.
- Face verification, match scores, and Wybber-negotiation outcomes are not a "trust/safety guarantee"; see the Safety and Moderation Policy.
- The Company's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including Turkey's Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers; nothing in this clause limits any right that cannot be waived under mandatory consumer-protection provisions.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time, irreversibly, via Settings > Delete Account (see the Privacy Policy §6). The Company may also terminate your account for violation of these Terms.
11. Changes and Governing Law
These Terms may be updated from time to time; material changes will be announced via an in-app notice. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For disputes where you are a consumer, the competent consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts have jurisdiction; for all other disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of the Company's registered place of business have jurisdiction.
