Frequently asked questions

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently and irreversibly deletes your account, profile, block records, location information, chat metadata and match records from our servers. Payment/purchase records and abuse reports that concern you or that you filed are kept with the link to your identity irreversibly cut (anonymized) — for financial audit and moderation integrity. For details see Privacy Policy §6 ("Account deletion and data portability"). If you cannot access the app, you can also request deletion at support@wybber.com; it is processed by hand once your ownership of the account has been verified.

How can I get a copy of my data?

Today there is no one-tap self-service screen for this in the app. Email support@wybber.com and, once we have verified you own the account, we will send you an export of what we hold on our servers (profile demographics, match history and purchase records, for example). Your profile photos, chats and preference answers are stored only on your own device; there is no server record of them.

How do I block or report someone?

Use the Report / Block button on any profile or chat. Violence, fraud and harassment categories are reported with a single tap and the other person is blocked automatically. Other categories (spam, fake profile, inappropriate content, other) ask for a second confirmation. Someone you block can no longer see you or send you messages or match requests. See the Safety Policy for details.

Are my photos uploaded to your servers?

No. Your profile photos, bio and the image/embedding captured during face verification are processed and stored entirely on your device; none of it is sent to Wybber servers. For details see Privacy Policy §2.

How do I turn off "Let my Wybber talk for me"?

Switch it off at any time under Settings → Let my Wybber talk for me; if a conversation is in progress it is cancelled immediately. The feature is off by default. The server only receives your hashed identifier and the outcome of the conversation (only "no match" or "match") — the category answers you chose to share travel end-to-end encrypted directly to the other person's device. See Privacy Policy §7.
